Brad and I were hiking near the pier on 40 Acre Lake in Brazos Bend State Park (near Needville, TX) during the morning of April 1, 2011, when we photographed this Red-winged Blackbird. Heavy fog and temperatures in the low 70's greeted us as we started our hike.
